1998 United States Patent 5,751,737

This patent was part of an HP-Panasonic collaboration that I both facilitated and technically contributed. This project is the reason I moved to Fort Collins from Hachioji, Japan.

The sad thing is that this patent isn’t very impressive – the “invention” is basically removing a large part of an existing product (an HP 3070 board tester). It is sort of like getting a patent on a Soap Box Derby car by taking the engine out of a Chevy. But I’m counting this one, anyway.
